Great article Jonny!
It’s good to see that Berwick bands are getting some well deserved attention for some great and truly independent music-making. Northumberland has some fantastic music scenes from Berwick to Blyth, and Allendale to Ashington; the Bubbles Bar ‘Battle of The Bands’ in Ashington has highlighted just how many incredibly talented bands are coming through the different scenes in the North-east of England.
The Final of the Bubbles Bar ‘Battle of the Bands’ is on Monday Feb. 23rd. Please keep Lionheart Radio (www.lionheartradio.com) posted on Berwick music – get your CDs in to us and we’ll play em!
Best wishes.

Nice article, can’t wait to hear some of the music mentioned, but I can’t overlook that you still missed out some more great bands from Berwick in your round-up, in particular Ditch Your Side Kicks, who even though they have been quiet recently have been rattling around my head since I last saw them about a year ago, here’s hoping they get out more in 2009!
