Hello! No change at the summit of the Amazing Chart, with the Top 3 all holding firm this time around. This means that, fresh from supporting Hot Chip in Brixton last week, Manchester electro trio Santiago Street Machine have kept their mitts on the Number 1 spot with Sinking Stone.
Vukovi remain at Number 2 with their super-charged anthem Get Hot And Feel The Butterflies rocking its socks off, right on the coat-tails of Santiago Street Machine for a second consecutive week. Recent Amazing Sessions guests Slow Motion Shoes and Thisfamiliarsmile are just behind, with Swindonian songwriter Theo Altieri completing the Top 5, having climbed another two places.
Elsewhere in the Top 20, there are significant climbs for Daughter, Faux Disco Club and Sam Donaghey, but congratulations must go to French duo Flatlab for the biggest climb of the week, leaping a massive 23 places to Number 17 in the latest countdown!
We’ve also got a record-breaking number of New Entries in this week’s Top 40. The honour of the highest-placed goes to Buckingham band The Scallys, closely followed by Berkshire chanteuse The Good Natured, London-based five-piece Royal Treatment Plant, Sunderland singer-songwriter The Lake Poets and American rapper J Capital.
Yorkshire twee-punk trio Standard Fare, the amusingly-monikered quartet Tim And Sam’s Tim And The Sam Band, London soul-poppers Hey Laura, former Chart-toppers Charly Coombes & The New Breed and Mancunian indie rockers Tigers That Talked complete the Top 40.
