Every Sunday evening, Charlie Ashcroft counts down the Amazing Chart across the UK’s national DAB network on Amazing Radio. Here he is to give us the very latest lowdown on the last week’s movers and shakers from amazingtunes.com…
After taking a week off to make way for our end-of-year Chart of 2011 over New Year, the regular weekly Amazing Chart returned to the airwaves on Sunday with news of a second consecutive week at Number 1 for London band Fractures and their song Nicotine.
With fierce competition for places just behind them in the shape of former chart-toppers Alpine and Los Angeles producer Dreams, the Londoners should be applauded for making it a fortnight on top. Chart stalwarts Family Of The Year and Azealia Banks complete the Top 5.
Slightly further behind, there’s more upward movement from Spector, Dad Rocks and Jethro Fox, while Work Drugs and Porcelain Raft have made their chart debuts in the Top 20.
