We assume that Her Majesty The Queen loves music, after all she’s got her own theme tune and entrance music. With that in mind we’re throwing together the perfect playlist for you all this Jubilee Monday, packing our radio output full of live session tracks.

To thank the Queen for 60 years on the throne (and two extra days off work), we’re playing out a session track for each of the 60 years. That’s 60 session tracks in a day on Amazing Radio.

Over the past 18 months we’ve recorded over 100 sessions in our recording studio, at festivals and on air. We have a full archive of videos hitting nearly half a million views from artists such as Ghostpoet, Daughter and Field Music. Just this weekend we’ve had Theme Park and Alt-J in the studio. Look out for them soon!

Let’s be honest, when we say Blackpool – music isn’t the first thing which springs to mind, is it? In fact it probably isn’t even on the shortlist of things that you first think of when I mention the seaside town.  However, this 19 year old looks set to rattle the not–so official line up of what may well be 1. The Pleasure Beach 2.The Tower and 3.The rock!

However don’t be fooled, Rae Morris may only be 19 but this lady has the voice (and hair) of a professional, mature and knowing yet honest and real. With her effortlessly beautiful songs and stunning voice, we are more than excited to have her play on the amazing stage at The Great Escape. Check out her Amazing Session below:

Forgive our excessive use of superlatives this week, but when some bright spark at Amazing Towers suggested doing a Rock Show session, we got a little excited. We got straight on the bat-phone to In Oceans and invited them down to the studio. What followed was a day spent trying to avoid hitting kamikaze pigeons, doing tapping duets on acoustic guitars and discussing curry, gig swaps and the Newcastle music scene. Ace.

It’s Amazing Sessions time again. This week we invited Amazing Chart topper Hannah Trigwell to our studio. The 20 year old acoustic sensation treated us to an intimate performance and an exclusive recording of her debut single, Headrush.

Joining us for The Amazing Sessions this week were North-East based four-piece Tomahawks For Targets. Their last single ‘Total Collapse Of It All’ did well here at amazing and with excitement building in anticipation of their new EP, due for release in April, we thought we’d invite them down to Blank Studios to record some exclusive material, just for us.
