Sometimes a song just hits you. With Now, Now it was love at first chord, warm, fuzzy chord. Somewhere between the clash of guitars and the soft vocals is something really, really special. Their nostalgic early 2000′s American indie feel makes us swoon. Thread has a hint of The Joy Formidable about it, but with so much more depth and intrigue; there’s a feel of genuine emotion in Cacie and Jess’ guitars as they wrap themselves around each other.
The three-piece based out of Mineapolis have yet to hit the UK with full force but with the release of their second LP, Threads, you should be hearing a whole lot more of them. The LP is out on Chris Walla’s (Death Cab For Cutie) record label Trans Records now.
