The Black Keys have a lot to answer for. Namely the revival of blues-rock types picking up guitars and forming bands. However, when they’re as exciting as Deap Vally we can forgive them. The Californian duo steal Jack White’s guitar tone and Karen O’s vocal energy and fuse it into something truly exciting.

The internet went a little crazy about them last week but we thought we’d sit with it a while and see how we felt after the initial excitement. It turns out, we still love it.
