For those of you with an ear to the ground, MAUSI are a band who’s name you’re no doubt more than familiar with. Having impressed us all with debut release Sol, the North East based four-piece have been locked away planning, writing and, if their current website is anything to go by, creating more stunning visuals to accompany their sound.

There’s a lot of chat about their half Italian heritage and their (very attractive) front woman Daisy – which in the end is entirely superfluous given that the music they make can more than stand its ground.

We’re big fans of their particular brand of blissed-out golden pop, and the new Chad Valley remix, set to be a B-side come the 6th of August, is no exception. He takes what was a straight-up sunny pop song and through slowing the pace and highlighting the vocal, he’s managed to tease out a certain kind of heat that we didn’t know it had.  If we don’t get to hear this at 1am on some long summer night then something is very wrong.
