Lay Your Cards Out displays the best use of autotuned vocals since Bon Iver first introduced us to The Woods. Its use is certainly not to hide a lack of talent, instead it’s an inspired technique used to add depth to the swirling atmosphere. The gorgeous vocal melts into the synths and together they hug the cacophony of drums and percussion.
