'Electric, haunting, mesmerising, unusual, brilliant, a voice to silence the room'. Becci Wallace, has firmly placed herself at the heart of the Scottish music and songwriting community over the years. Gathering momentum, collecting memories and pieces of songs; Becci has weaved herself a rich tapestry of content; lyrically and musically. Wallace’s eagerly awaited début album, Fragmentality, showcases an artful blend of genres, blurring the boundaries between folk, pop, trip hop, jazz and blues. The album follows the journey of an escapist, yearning for beauty from the unknown, the untravelled; and inevitably, the route back to where she started. Fragmentality will be released on 29th March 2015. A Launch will take place at the Glad Cafe in Shawlands, where the moments of the album will be imagined by a live band. Supporting Becci will be Manchester songwriter Little Rach. The pair met during the coveted ‘UK Songwriting Festival’ Few artists work as tirelessly, through community based projects and education; sharing their songwriting techniques and ideas in the hope of igniting the creative fire in Scotland's young people.
