TUNE NULA - 60 Minutes
South London future R&B duo NULA today share their new single ‘60 Minutes’. Born of a recording session described by vocalist and songwriter Nadiah Adu-Gyamfi as “an outer-body experience”, ‘60 Minutes’ chronicles a car journey racing towards the end of a relationship. Gathering pace over a skittering beat and bassline, Adu-Gyamfi’s speeding lyrics describe a rush through space and time to confront the pain and fear of leaving a partner.
Alongside production and writing partner Luke Osborne, the duo wrote and recorded the song in what felt like minutes, during a writing session in the early hours of the morning. At the intersection of contemporary R&B and futuristic production, NULA’s music is inspired by phases of transition in their lives.
Brought together while writing for a major label solo project, their music tells of a journey through angst and frustration into confidence and self-acceptance, set against the beating heart of London’s inner city. Already seeing major tastemaker support across the UK, with soon-to-be-announced live shows and singles ready, NULA are gearing up to spend 2019 sharing new pieces of their story.
