TUNE Kúlu - Lonely Running Man
Despite a more pop sound than on their debut single, the theme on the new single is much more serious. ‘Lonely Running Man’ is about the feeling of losing everything in a heartbeat and how life continues to move on with you as a passive bystander completely paralyzed and numb.
Kúlu is the sound of four musicians who know exactly what they want and how they are able to create their musical expression which is at the same time very atmospheric and dramatic using noisy soundscapes with ringing guitars combined with dynamic and explosive drums. Also they are not afraid to label their genre with the term quiescent noise. Guitarist and songwriter Daniel Buchwald explains: “We are always surrounded by sounds and even though a room is completely quiet something will always be rummaging.”
Behind Kúlu is a team of experienced musicians: Asger Techau (Asger Techau, Kashmir), Daniel Buchwald (Arbirk, Deerborn, Danger of Men), Dennis Winterskov (Ave, Deerborn) og Søren Sunding (The Folk Factory), who has joined forces to create a new Danish rock band. Based on post- and noise rock the quartet has created a sharp sound image with a sense of authority and conviction.
The new single is produced and mixed by Asger Techau and mastered by Caspar Hesselager (Palace Winter, Hymns From Nineveh, The Eclectic Moniker).
