SFVEN ANNOUNCES DEBUT SINGLE ‘PARANOID’ RELEASED ON 3RD MAY via 3Beat Leeds based electro pop artist Sfven has announced the release of his debut single Paranoid on 3rd May via 3Beat Productions. Sfven, otherwise known as 21-year-old Jamie Clarke, has a unique sound which blends electronic beats with infectious vocal hooks, sweet melodies and meaningful lyrics. As Jamie himself says, he creates “sad stories entwined in happy tunes”. Beginning his musical journey after accidentally attending an inspiring music production class at university, he takes his name from a hard drive that his songs are stored on and is influenced by the likes of Louis the Child, Bon Iver, Flume and Whethan. He is introducing his sound with debut single Paranoid, which is a juxtaposed song that charts daily highs and lows in both its lyrics and its sound. It’s distorted pop with an addictive chorus and a valuable sentiment. The intriguing video features Jamie himself and a metaphoric journey with a balloon. Jamie says; “Paranoid is about having that constant feeling of having to double check yourself. So, whenever I leave the house, I have to check the door 3 times & check the plugs, windows etc. It can eat my brain up sometimes so it's about capturing that thought of being consumed by paranoia.” “In the video, the balloon represents being a friend of mine, and as I develop the friendship with it, I get Paranoid that it will leave. As the video progresses, the multiple balloons in the video represent that paranoia.” Sfven will be releasing further music and announcing his first live dates soon – this is just the start of a very exciting musical journey.
