TUNE Fold - The Storm
The Storm is a dark, apocalyptic, breakbeat-driven Latin jazz number with colourful if not disturbing orchestration. The narrative is taken from a 1940s radio play version of James Hilton's novel Lost Horizon. The narrator warns the listener of the storm that is coming to the world that will level all human beings in a vast chaos until, at last, the strong will have devoured each other and the meek shall inherit the earth. This was written between the 2 world wars and the spectre that loomed then looms once again. The eery feeling embodied in the words is one that resonates now.
