TUNE Kelly Oliver - Rio
Upbeat, summery and irresistible, this song was inspired by Kelly Oliver's travels through Brazil in 2013. It was in Rio that she decided to attempt to pursue a career as a singer songwriter, even though up to that point no one else had heard her original music. Challenged into action by the struggle for survival she realised how many more life chances she had, and especially those chances for following her dream, compared to the people she was encountering every day.
Collaborating with Nigel Stonier as co writer and producer following his production of her last single Jericho, Kelly was thrilled when Nigel introduced Thea Gilmore into the mix, with some gorgeous backing vocals. Drums from Paul Beavis (The Waterboys) and fiddle from Natalie Purton complete the package for a song which is perfect for summer.
