TUNE Louise Aubrie - It Was No One's Fault But Mine I Must Confess
Following her critically acclaimed album Late 44 which received play from BBC Radio 2 and 6Music plus rave reviews from Louder Than War and New Noise, indie punk artist Louise Aubrie comes with her latest single It Was No One’s Fault But Mine, I Must Confess – a perfectly formed pop song with splashes of early Blondie, The Ramones, The Go Gos and other seminal bands from the post-punk era.
The single was produced by Andy Woodard who, as well as producing records, spends his time drumming for seminal punk icon Adam Ant. The record also features some tasteful guitar work from Morrissey MD & co-writer Boz Boorer who pioneered the British rockabilly movement in his band The Polecats.
Lyrically the song is inspired by the Cary Grant & Deborah Kerr fifties movie An Affair To Remember and references the misunderstanding that keeps them apart & how their planned meeting at the Empire State Building is the nearest thing to heaven. The song is close to Louise’s heart; being set in her second home of New York and re-tells one of cinema’s greatest love stories.
