TUNE Harry Baker - Vejer
The monotonous list of events that have shocked us this year is still being written, and this is my reaction. I wanted to draw on the issues that social media encourages within generation Z's during the pandemic and BLM movements. Whilst describing this, I ironically and sarcastically wanted to express my views on social issues in regards to plastic hierarchy, money, status and the true colours that have been forced to come out from a-more than I feel comfortable with- number of people, due to the antics of the mighty 2020.
After the release of my third album Everything Is Temporary in May this year, I've moved on to a different sound, a sound I feel most comfortable with bringing back my rockist routes and bluesier tones. It feels awesome to be writing simple guitar parts again, and I wanted to keep this single simple without loosing impact, hence my choice of a punchy beat that takes you through the piece.
After moving to Spain, and being reunited with my Girlfriend for over 5 months due to the virus, I've been engaging in a different collection of musicians due to weather. It sound's funny, but the climate does affect my music interests and craves! Influences from this song consist of Lenny Kravitz, Tinarawin, The Stones, Eric Johnson, Creedance Clearwater revival. I hope you enjoy the track !
