Hut is an Alt-Rock duo based in Bristol, originally from the south of Europe. The sound found space in between the influences of QOTSA, Royal Blood, The White Stripes, The Strokes and the English underground South West scene. Their arrangements are devoted to groovy and sharp riffs and dissonant melodies. Lyrics are inspired by Luke’s obsession with the analysis of modern Society through little pieces forming the puzzle. Jo’s minimal and energetic drum patterns stand as the core of this two-piece heavy rock machine that thinks every detail of their music from a live perspective.
Luke and Jo met four years before the project started, in the music room of a run-down hostel. After being kicked out for having faked to be the hostel receptionists, they kept their friendship alive, taking two different musical paths. At the beginning of 2017 Hut, founded by Luke, was a four-piece band which published on April 2017 their first EP “Born Skinny” and soon ended in the drawer of the former bands, until Luke met Jo again transferring the few songs collected so far in a new duo project. With Jo spending all the time closed in the studio and Luke’s head constantly between dusty literature books and blinding laptop screens, in their first year the duo composed the set that will make up their first album. They also gigged around after shaping their affinity. After almost 20 dates in Bristol Hut travelled for a short tour in Italy and it’s now back with a new track in December 2018.
