I was brought up in a musical household; my mum was a singer in a band and my step-dad played bass guitar. I think I must have been about five years old when I decided I wanted to be a singer myself, mind you, I didn’t really find my voice until I was a teenager. Once I’d held a microphone in my hand, there was no looking back!
We had a studio at home and mum and Lee – my step-dad – were prolific songwriters. Lee is a very versatile musician and played quite a few instruments. I remember the first time I wrote a song with Lee, it felt amazing to be singing something I’d actually played a big part in the making of. That song is called ‘Leave me Alone’ and can be found on my Spirit album.
I really enjoy playing live festivals – almost nothing beats that feeling that performing to a good crowd gives me.
That’s a little about me. Obviously there’s a whole lot more but the most important thing is that I’m here now, singing my heart out and hoping that you’ll like what you hear and buy my Spirit album.
