TUNE Latenight Honeymoon - For Heaven's Sake
NEW LONDON OUTFIT RELEASE DEBUT DOUBLE AA SINGLE
MIXED BY WORLD RENOWNED PRODUCER MIKE FRASER
It was a fruitful 2019 for London newcomers Latenight Honeymoon, earned huge support slots UK wide, such as a show at Brighton’s biggest music venue supporting indie royalty Bloc Party in June and filling out festival tents across the UK at calendar staples such as Truck & Isle of Wight.
Their second release ‘For Heaven’s Sake’ comes loaded with hope and positivity, in a time where social distancing restrictions have brought our lives to a standstill. Not to be disheartened by current affairs the band use the situation we all find ourselves in as a positive, creating an inspired video made up of zoom video calls, fan made dancing and lip-syncing, layered throughout with bedroom performances from the band.
Still in their early 20’s these baby bloomers unashamedly wear their teen influences on their sleeves with poster backdrops adorned with Britpop heroes amongst naughties guitar revivalist bands. This begins to explain why Latenight Honeymoon are starting to sound like a delightful cosmopolitan cocktail of all your favourite bands intertwined. Both songs were self-recorded at the back end of 2019 and found their way into the hands of producer Mike Fraser (Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, Foo Fighters…) Fraser’s input on these songs gives us more insight into how a concoction of new music can sound so contemporary and yet so nostalgic at the same time.
We were introduced to Latenight Honeymoon on the first day of spring with summer-drenched anthem ‘Sunlight.’ Seemingly a new lease of life from a band with the highest ambitions, dead set on using music as their antidote to keep us going through these torrid times.
“Trust Me, Everything Gets Better.”
