Lonnie has been writing music since he was ten years old in a dilapidated garden shed. Since then he’s played for a number of bands and projects but is now wearing his heart solely on his own sleeve delving into a warm, warbled, dreamy sound reminiscent of Ariel Pink and Dan Croll.
The 17th of August this year marks Lonnie's first release, ‘Make it Slow’. This debut track is one of surfy bright guitars and warped, warbling synthesisers bubbling under Lonnie’s deep lethargic vocals. It's a bittersweet release chiding the complexity and tedium of romantic miscommunication in the modern age.
Ariel Pink, Rex Orange County, Gus Dapperton, Peter Gabriel, Vacations, Yellow Days, Japanese Breakfast, Darwin Deez, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Mild High Club, David Byrne to name a few.
