TUNE No Chance Milly! - Mr Corporate Has Left The Building
This song is intended to be the theme tune from a work in progress musical comedy entitled "Mr Corporate Has Left The Building".
It tells the story of "Mr Corporate" finally snapping under the strain of working for an hypocritical employer who has a number of skeletons rattling in the closet that only a select few are supposed to know about..... that is, were it not for the loose tongue of a colleague close to management who lets the cat out of the bag every time with potentially career threatening results for the employer concerned.....
Somehow the description above fails to capture adequately the comedy value.... Trust me, it is funny!
Mr Corporate Has Left The Building
He’s deep in thought on his one wheel cycle
While pride and duty fight a battle royale in his heart
A small and tight knit group know, the laxities he let go
A culture thus established wrong from the start
He placed his trust in a rash alarmist
To hush up failures, cover up live sly and so much more
Emails restored in secret that spoke of fraud and regret
Couldn’t hold his tongue and opened up to the floor.
Now Mr Corporate has had enough
He stayed so loyal when the times were tough
Thank god he knows where all the bodies lay
They’re mapped in piles of paper in his dossier.
Mr Corporate has left the building
The final bell has tolled, the last form has been filled in
With so much information stored inside his brain
Topped up with the gossip from the Skipton Train.
