on Monday 15th December.
The east London trio have gone from bedsit-demo-creators to Billboard Chart debutants and iTunes chart toppers in recent months, and their latest tune ‘Weightless’ (released via tastemaker label Alcopop Records!) is another blistering under-3-minute showcase of absolute electro pop precision.
Following on from singles ‘Medicine’ (iTunes Electronic Chart Number 1) and ‘Take Hold’ (“The more I hear them the more I like them” John Kennedy, XFM), ‘Weightless’ is another fine example of why the boys have caused huge waves this side of the Atlantic and in the US. With it’s glitchy, almost paranoid musicality, flowing effortlessly harmonic wonderment ‘Weightless’ marks the end of a formative, hectically successful year, and the start of huge things to come in 2015.
Their recent US tour was supported by funding from BPI and UKTI, which led to the band featuring on BBC Breakfast and Sky News, whilst the tracks were supported widely by Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music), John Kennedy (XFM) and Janice Long / Dermot O’ Leary (BBC Radio 2) as well as featuring as Track Of The Day everywhere from The 405 to Q Magazine. Both tracks were selected as the 'What’s Hot' featured tracks on the iTunes homepage in America.
