TUNE Quinny - No Place To Die
I made a mad dash for Melbourne, Australia (packing up my flat in London and moving everything to Paisley with about 24 hours notice) right before lockdown, arriving a day before they closed the border. My girlfriend lives here, so it was planned I'd be coming, but I moved my plans forward pretty rapidly last minute. Since arriving, I've written over 50 songs, and 'No Place To Die' is definitely a song about moving away from home and all the mixed emotions that come with that.
It's part of a 3 track EP of the same name that I recorded in lockdown and worked on remotely with my hometown friend Graham McCucker, previously of Manchester band KAZE. I'm hoping to release a few more EPs on the upcoming Bandcamp Fridays to earn me a little bit of money since I don't have any income (Melbourne's back in lockdown) and don't qualify for any benefits.
