TUNE Steve Buscemi's Dreamy Eyes - Closer (ft. Matilda Wiezell)
"The sweetest indie-pop songs to back up their incredible name" - DIY
Behind the odd name Steve Buscemi’s Dreamy Eyes you’ll find one of the most promising new bands on the blooming Swedish indie scene. Following two singles during the first half of last year, which were included on Spotify’s influential Fresh Finds playlist and praised Sweden’s biggest and most influential music sites as well as by international press from the US to Japan, the quartet soon became one of the most active live bands on the Swedish underground scene.
Now the band is back with their long-awaited new single “Closer”. It’s a development of the band’s sound, which has previously been hailed as “dream-indie at its best” by Ja Ja Ja, with an ear-catching riff, heavy bass line, dreamy synths and captivating drums that helps “Closer” stand out as a club friendly indie pop anthem. The single also features Matilda Wiezell, solo artist and singer of Stockholm indie act Melby whose vocals have been compared to those of Amason’s Amanda Bergman.
Steve Buscemi’s Dreamy Eyes consist of Edvin Arleskär (drums), Tilde Hansen (vocals, bass), Siri Sjöberg (vocals, synth) and Elias Mahfoud (guitar) and “Closer” is the first release on Stockholm label Rama Lama Records.
