Twin Oaks is a Los Angeles dream pop project founded by core members Lauren Brown and Aaron Domingo along with drummer and multi-instrumentalist Marilyn Beltran. Although started as a bedroom folk duo during their early days, years of live shows helped broadened the band’s expanse for ethereal dream pop soundscapes drawn from bands such as Sigur Rós, Lanterns on the Lake, Of Monsters and Men, London Grammar, and Daughter.
Formed in 2012, Twin Oaks has released 2 EPs (COLLAPSE and LIVING ROOMS), the mini-album THE LION’S DEN, and their debut album WHITE NOISE. The band drove a modest fan base and gained a feature on Simon Raymonde’s (of Cocteau Twins) radio show, a #1 single “Find A Way” on Amazing Radio UK’s Top 40, and praises through local indie music communities.
Twin Oaks released their self-recorded and produced sophomore album See You When I See You on June 14th, 2019. The album’s premiere song “Lakes” has seen placements on DKFM’s Top 25 chart and Amazing Radio UK’s Top 40.
Known for interchanging each live performance between hushed guitar notes and minimalist lofi/electronic to explosive post-rock builds, the band has managed to craft a sound of their own. Twin Oaks have performed with acts such as Mt. Joy, The Joy Formidable, NAVVI, Angelo De Augustine, flora cash, & Emma Ruth Rundle.
