Llovers are a 5 piece indie-pop band from the North East of England. Arriving in late 2016, Llovers produce dream driven tracks channelled with unquestionable pop sensibility.
The band have had widespread national attention from major tastemakers, including NME, DIY, Clash, Line of Best Fit and Dork Magazine, as well as airtime on BBC 6 Music. The band have amassed over half a million streams on Spotify, being added to playlists such as New Music Friday UK, Hot New Bands, The Indie List, Dreampop and Your Office Stereo.
The idea for the band was formed at McDonalds, where David and Jack both worked, as a means to escape the golden arches. After a period of writing and looking for members, Joe, Ben and Matthew were recruited, and and the band were formed in October 2016, continuously practicing before self recording and releasing their first single.
Lyrically, Llovers explore the uncertainties of life and love. Their stories and discussions are often purposefully contradictory and focus on how passages in time expose the fickle nature of thoughts and feelings. These lyrics are backed up with tight harmonies and perfectly crafted dreamy soundscapes.
